Mike Willig grew up in the seafood business. Before Adirondack Seafood Co. was his own, he spent years working the trade for other companies up and down the coast — buying, cutting, running markets — before starting a business of his own.

What began as a fish market grew into a full-service restaurant, but the sourcing never changed: still New England coast, still the same relationships he's built over decades. We buy and sell premium grade fish and seafood from the New England coast and from around the world — wild organic fish from the North Atlantic, plus wild seafood from Alaska, Mexico, Chile and Norway. Product arrives daily.

A few years ago Mike added something new to the mix — a boat. The Anneliese Ava now brings in bonus catch that goes straight from the water to the market counter: flounder, haddock, lobster, and soon, legit bluefin tuna. It's not the main source — the market still runs on the same trusted coastal suppliers — but it's the part of the business Mike's proudest of.

Mike's also active with the New England Fishermen's Stewardship Association (NEFSA) — "Fight Salty" — supporting the fishing community he's been part of his whole career.
